Choosing the best cruise line for your family can be a bit tricky. Some ships’ itineraries focus mostly on kids but not too much on teens, some amenities vary not only from cruise lines to cruise lines but from liner to liner as well.
The Carnival’s Conquest: Best Overall family cruise line
The Carnival’s Conquest may not be as loud and flashy as its biggest competitor, the Royal Caribbean’s Voyager, but it is a wonderful ship that provides marvelous entertainment all year-round. In the Carnival’s Conquest the kids are divided into 5 age groups since age is the basis of as to what activities they can join. For tweens and teens, aged 12 to 17 years old, they will have regular access to discos, PlayStation and Xbox video game consoles, and special teen shore excursions. Kids ages 9 to 11 years have numerous scavenger hunts and talent shows. Juniors ages 6 to 8 years can play and participate in various activities and games throughout the ship like shirt painting and Disney trivia while toddles can enjoy sponge painting, drawing, coloring as well as “Fun Ship” bingo and sing-alongs.
The facilities aboard the Carnival’s Conquest are superb with something to offer for every individual including a video wall, computer lab, play area and an arts and crafts center. Unlike other cruise liners that admit kids 3 years old and above, the Carnival accepts children by 2 years old.
